Fillings
A filling is necessary when a tooth has chipped or has cavities. Depending on the situation we use either a tooth coloured resin or silver (amalgam) filling.
What happens in a filling appointment?
We offer local anaesthesia to numb the tooth and clean out any decay or weakened tooth structure.
Once the chosen filling material is set, we check the bite, shape and smoothness of the filling to make sure it is comfortable and you are happy.
There can be some discomfort after the anaesthetic has worn off but if this does not settle in a few days please give us a call.
